Homegrown Music Festival has been rooted in the Ozarks since 2016 and prides itself on being a sustainable, family-friendly approach to live music. This year’s festival is a little different in that it is taking place in Fayetteville, showcasing more mountain sports and, one of our favorite parts, IT’S FREE.
The 2018 Washington County Fair is coming to Fayetteville Tuesday, August 21 through Saturday, August 25. Established in 1857, this celebration is the largest county fair in Arkansas!
This family-friendly event has a little something for everyone from bull riding to the Miss Washington County pageant, action-packed rides and livestock competitions. All ages will enjoy walking the fairgrounds, riding the rides and celebrating summer with that oh so sweet fair food.
One of the most popular art galleries in Fayetteville, Art Ventures, will celebrate its latest month-long exhibition June 7 with a reception held during First Thursday Fayetteville.
Located at 101 W. Mountain St. on the Historic Downtown Square, Art Ventures hosts exhibitions that are free to the public and showcase local artists’ work. “Kinetic, Propulsive & Ionized – Still Life Oils, Watercolor Illustrations & Neon Lights” runs June 1-30 and features the works of Donna Phipps Stout, Mohammed (Moh’d) Bilbeisi and Brian Bailey.
The June 7 reception will take place 5-8 p.m., so come enjoy a one-of-a-kind Northwest Arkansas experience and meet some of the most talented artists in the region!

The University of Arkansas School of Art is presenting a student exhibition through April 7 at the Walker Stone House. “Milk,” the thesis exhibition by Lindsey Heiden, is free and open to the public 6:30-8 p.m. April 5 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7.
A reception with the artist will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 5.
