School of Rock at the Walton Arts Center

The Walton Arts Center is hosting a production of “School of Rock” October 23-28 as part of its Broadway Series, which brings to Fayetteville some of the most heralded theatrical productions in the world.

“School of Rock" tells the story of an outrageous rock star wannabe, Dewey Finn, who works his way into a substitute teaching job at a private school. Dewey puts together a rock band with his students to compete against adults in a Battle of the Bands contest - and changes everyone's lives, as a result.

The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville brings in artists and entertainers from all over the world to create unforgettable performances. The facility offers diversified programming, large-scale touring productions and unparalleled performing arts opportunities. The WAC has played host to comedian Steve Martin and touring productions of Broadway’s greatest, including “Jersey Boys,” “Book of Mormon” and much more.

The WAC has enriched the cultural life of Northwest Arkansas for 25 years. It recently expanded and remodeled, adding nearly 30,000 square feet of space to the newly modernized facility that is able to bring more arts and education opportunities than ever to Fayetteville.
