Participants and their pooches are invited to toast the town and support the Fayetteville Animal Shelter by making their way around Dickson Street.
The day is loaded with drink specials and opportunities to meet other pet lovers. The participating bars and pubs are Dickson St. Pub, Infusion, Grub’s, Cork and Keg, Powerhouse, C-4, The Amendment, Marley’s Pizzeria and Something Urban. You’re welcome to start at any of the bars and pubs participating in the event.
The registration fee is $39, which includes a T-shirt and matching dog bandana. T-shirts should be picked up at the shelter up to a week before the event, to ensure you can spend the day crawling and drinking instead of standing in lines. Early registration is highly encouraged as only 250 people and pets can participate in this year’s event.
This year features a passport to be stamped from each place. If you make it to all nine bars without having to crawl yourself home, you’ll be entered into a contest to win a gift basket full of treats for you and your pet.
Unfortunately, registration is strictly one dog per person, so if you have multiple pups, encourage friends to sign up, too! Couples sharing a dog are invited to buy an extra T-shirt for $15 instead of registering as two separate guests. All people bringing a dog to the event must have a valid ticket.
