We might be a little biased, but we do believe it would be extraordinarily difficult to find a more stunningly beautiful bike trail than the one located in the Kessler Mountain Regional Park. Considered one of the premier natural areas in Northwest Arkansas, the park incorporates an impressive section of Ozark forest that has been established as a nature preserve to protect the mountain’s diverse wildlife and plants.
2019 is introducing some amped up excitement to the mountain in the form of the inaugural Kessler Mountain Enduro—series stop #2 of the Arkansas Enduro Series, the premier racing series of its kind for the state. On Saturday, June 22, racers will combine multiple mountain bike disciplines, ranging from hard-pedaling cross country endurance to challenging downhill technical features with jumps and navigation of extreme rock features. Riders are timed at various points, and the pace is fast and furious.
This particular race offers entries for pro, expert and amateur for various age groups, as well as junior women and men. Riders will complete up to 20 miles and as many as six stages of the race. Anyone interested in registering should visit bikereg.com/fayettevilleaes2.
