Sushi in Fayetteville

Sushi is always a popular food choice, particularly during warmer weather and when having a night out on the town — when you need to fuel up but not get too full. Sushi is a creative outlet and a great excuse to meet up with friends for a bite-sized meal. Lucky for you, Fayetteville has some of the best sushi restaurants in Northwest Arkansas.

Whether you already have a sushi obsession or are just getting started to this craze, we’re rolling out a list of some of the best sushi places Fayetteville. The summer season is a great time to try new kinds of sushi, so here are a few places to get you started.

Wasabi

A Dickson Street classic, this sushi spot has been around for more than 10 years, and it’s no surprise why people keep coming back for more. Wasabi’s patio is one of the most popular in Fayetteville, and if you go on the right night there might even be live music playing.

Wasabi prides itself in the fresh ingredients they use in each roll, as well as the experience they have in the sushi business. Favorite rolls include the Razorback and Dickson, which are special to the area.

Meiji Japanese Cuisine

Known for it’s innovative and made-from-scratch style, Meiji is an exquisite sushi destination. Located on Crossover Road, Meiji brings unique sushi to the Fayetteville area. If you are looking for fresh fish, Meiji is the place. Restaurant Chef Darwin Hamada Beyer has fish flown in several times a week, served to patrons only days after caught.

Living local is also important to Meiji, and the bamboo you will find decorating the restaurant is actually grown at nearby gardens. An Ocean Breeze sushi, along with many others rolls, are offered for your summer appetite.

Tokyo Sushi and Bar

Another Dickson Street favorite, Tokyo Sushi and Bar is a quaint spot with lots of character. Students from the University of Arkansas and a wide-range of Dickson Street goers can enjoy a variety of rolls offered at Tokyo. With a large menu and sushi unique to this restaurant, you can’t go wrong when choosing what to order. Tokyo offers happy hour every Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., and the sushi specials on the menu can’t be beat!

Shogun Japanese Steakhouse of Japan

Situated in Fayetteville’s Uptown District, Shogun Japanese Steakhouse of Japan is a modern sushi restaurant perfect for a fun outing, date or any occasion. Something special about Shogun is the view of the city you can experience while eating some of the greatest sushi in the area. With open air seating and a sushi roll named after this beloved town of Fayetteville, you will want to come see what Shogun has to offer.
