The Arkansas Razorbacks kick off another season of college football today at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, AR. Little Rock has a long-standing tradition of hosting at least one game a year for the hogs, but most home games are played at the University of Arkansas campus right here in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Locations for the upcoming public art installation, Green Candy, have been announced. International and local artists will be transforming four sites around downtown Fayetteville into works of art.

Experience Fayetteville is presenting the event and appointed global creative house Justkids to curate Green Candy, an art action aimed to create community conversations around waste and sustainability through engaging art projects.

The 8th annual Fayetteville Roots Festival will be held Aug. 24-27 at several locations and live-music venues throughout the city of Fayetteville.

Featured headliners include Iron & Wine, The Wood Brothers, Elephant Revival and Rodney Crowell. Additionally, actor, musician and comedian Nick Offerman — aka Ron Swanson from NBC’s “Parks & Rec” — will introduce a documentary he’s produced. The film, titled “Look & See,” is a 2017 Sundance Film Festival selection that explores the changing landscapes and shifting values of rural America in the era of industrialized agriculture.

Exciting new art is coming to Northwest Arkansas this summer, as Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville prepares to feature work by American sculptor Dale Chihuly.

While Chihuly works mostly with glass, he is also known for using a variety of mediums, including ice, paint and neon. His works will be featured inside the museum’s temporary exhibition gallery as well as outside in the beautiful woods of the Ozarks. Tickets range from $10 to $20 and can be purchased in advance on the Crystal Bridges website.
