Headline Clinton House

Clinton House Museum

Except for the sign in the yard, this house is hardly distinguishable from the others in the neighborhood. Yet, in 1975, two people - a future president and a future secretary of state - were married in the living room.

This was the first house that Bill and Hillary Clinton owned. They would enter the White House seventeen years after leaving this home. Today, it offers you the chance to step back in history.

See for yourself the house that served as the backdrop for their lives in the mid-1970s. Through photographs, documents and videos, you'll learn about a part of the Clinton's life that many never have - a time that isn't about being president, but about being a future president.

No matter your political beliefs, you'll be able to learn about what makes a president and how a town in the Ozark mountains became the first home of Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton.

We invite you to learn more on a tour of the musuem. It is located south of Dickson Street at 930 Clinton Drive (formerly California Blvd.) and is open Monday through Saturday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. For more information, call 479.444.0066, toll-free 877-BIL-N-HIL or visit clintonhousemuseum.org.

WHEN YOU VISIT THE MUSUEM, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO:

  • Witness rarely seen memorabilia from Clinton's early political career.
  • Watch video of ads from his 1974 and 1976 political campagins.
  • Learn from his friends and constituents what life was like in Fayetteville for Clinton.
  • Study some of Clinton's earliest political speeches, showcasing his unique style that would later become famous.
  • View a faithful replica of Hillary's wedding dress, just like the one she wore when they were married in the living room.
  • Peruse our gift shop for books and mementos, and be just steps away from the University of Arkansas campus, where the Clintons taught from 1974 to 1976.

BEYOND THE HOUSE
