Peony Moon Hike

Join us for a casual, 2 mile out-and-back hike on the Yellow Rock Loop at Devil's Den State Park, to enjoy the light of the full moon! We will be taking this hike nice and easy, to accommodate anyone who has any interest in experiencing this well-known trail at night, as well as relaxing at the overlook to enjoy the night sky. The trail is frequently traveled, well maintained, and rated as easy to moderate. There are multiple rocky sections, cliff ledges, steep inclines, and uneven surfaces. Grab your headlamp and join us for an after-dark hike!

When: April 23, 8:00 pm. We will be leaving from the North parking lot at Pack Rat AT 8:00pm. Please arrive early!
Where: Pack Rat Outdoor Center

Space is limited to 15 participants!

Must be 18+
No alcohol
A headlamp and water are required
Suggested Items:

Blanket, yoga mat, or chair to sit on
Camera
Materials for spotting constellations (maps, references materials, apps, etc)

Highlands Gravel Classic

The Highlands Gravel Classic is the only age-group qualifier in the USA for the Trek UCI Gravel World Series (GWS) as 1 of 2 qualifying events in North America.The GWS will include both new and existing events from around the world as part of the series to qualify competitors to attend the world championships in October. Selection to the world championships will be per age group and gender. The top 25% finishers of ages 19-34 and then every 5-year age groups (ex 35-39) with age groups seperated by gender will qualify. There is a U19 age category, but it is NOT a qualifier category.

Highlands Gravel Classic will have 2 courses...the Highlands - 66 miles and Farmlands - 52 miles. The 66 mile course is for Males (19-59) and Females (19-49). 52 mile course is for Males 60+ and Females 50+.

Field Participant Caps:

Farmlands course - 500 total riders
Highlands course - 600 total riders

Start / finish of the event - Goshen Community Center - 244 Clark Street, Goshen, AR

Square 2 Square Bicycle Ride - Spring

Our team looks forward to offering both in-person and do-it-yourself ride options for the 2024 Fall Square 2 Square Bike Ride. The Square 2 Square Bike Ride is a festive, family friendly experience that allows participants to take in the scenery and camaraderie of the Razorback Greenway!

As an alternative to in-person, a do-it-yourself ride option will be offered over the period of a month. With the goals of providing an event for new people on bikes, promoting safe riding, showcasing the Razorback Greenway, and supporting our neighbors, S2S has choices for you!

The Square 2 Square 2024 Spring Bike Ride will take you from Walker Park in south Fayetteville all the way to Lawrence Plaza in Bentonville via the scenic Razorback Greenway!

Along the 30+ mile route, you’ll visit pit stops at Lake Fayetteville, Downtown Springdale, Lowell, and Rogers, before finishing just a couple blocks off the Downtown Square in Bentonville at Lawrence Plaza. We hope you’ll take an opportunity to stop, have a snack, and take a photo with your crew before moving towards the finish line.

The start line in Fayetteville will be open from 7:00am-9:30am and the finish line in Bentonville will be open from 9:00am-2:00pm.

Cow Paddy Run

May the fourth be with you at the 2024 Cow Paddy Run on May 4th at Fayetteville's Gulley Park!

The Cow Paddy Run produced by The Spark Foundation focuses on helping students and families build the habits for an active, healthy lifestyle. Our Fayetteville nonprofit offers a “pay-your-age” program for runners 5-12 and proceeds directly support physical education in local schools through $4,000 in participation prizes.

As part of our mission, we want the focus on running to be fun and accessible. All 5K and 1K runners get a chip time, participant shirt and finisher’s medal. We do not offer overall or age group awards for these events, but rather focus on the love of running by creating a fun, family-friendly atmosphere!

NWA Natural Bodybuilding Championships

Taking place for the 17th year, the annual NWA Natural Bodybuilding Championships will showcase the best natural physiques in this 4 state regional competition.

The winners of the open and masters (40+) classes will earn their pro card making them professional 'bodybuilders' - this is for physique, figure, bikini, classic physique, and even the typical bodybuilder. We are even crowning the title of Mr. and Ms. Arkansas along with the 12 and under Mr. and Ms. Mini Arkansas.

Those who purchase a ticket to watch will receive their money back in energy drinks, supplements, prep coaches' feedback and suggestions, protein powders, Inbody composition scans, sponsor raffle giveaways, and hopefully to earn a full body massage from a massage chair.

Ladies Du Fayetteville

This seventh annual event will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 7:00am at the Lake Fayetteville Marina. The atmosphere of the Ladies Du Fayetteville is a unique multi-sport race experience for women athletes. We welcome women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming athletes to participate in the Du. We look forward to planning this one-of-a-kind duathlon.

The duathlon will follow a traditional run/bike/run format with the distances being 2 miles/11 miles/2 miles. The race will take place at Lake Fayetteville utilizing the paved trails around and near the lake. Participants can race as individuals or as a relay team of two or three.

Ozark Valley Triathlon

The Ozark Valley Triathlon (OVT), Fayetteville’s oldest triathlon event, returns with a bang for 2024! The two-day event, planned for the weekend of June 29-30, 2024, marks the third consecutive year for Fayetteville to host a full slate of USA Triathlon (USAT) National Championship events.

It’s only fitting that a gravel and mountain-biking haven like Fayetteville, Arkansas would be asked to host this national, championship-level gravel biking event yet again. As the most bike-friendly city in Northwest Arkansas, Fayetteville is a natural fit for mountain bikers and gravel fiends looking for new adventure as the sport continues to explode in popularity!

OVT Off-Road Triathlon, Off-Road Duathlon, Gravel Triathlon and Gravel Duathlon to be held on the same weekend as the oldest road triathlon in NW Arkansas. UPDATE - Gravel and Mtn Bike events both to be held on Saturday, June 29 at the same time.

Saturday, June 29 - OVT Gravel Triathlon, Gravel Duathlon, Mtn Bike Triathlon and Mtn Bike Duathlon events. Both off-road triathlons will have a 1,000 yard swim. Gravel bike course is 18 miles, mtn bike course is 12 miles and the triathlon run course is an epic 5 miles. Both the gravel and mtn bike duathlon run courses will consist of a 3 mile Run #1 and 5 mile Run #2 courses.

Sunday, June 30 - Ozark Valley Triathlon (road events) is hosting the 2024 Arkansas State Championships in the international and sprint distances as well as the Arkansas High School State Championship. There is a combined Club Championship competition as well. These are both road triathlon races and there will be a Aquabike, duathlon and team category (International distance only) in the Ozark Valley Triathlon.

OVT road events:

Sprint Triathlon - 400 yard swim, 13 mile bike, 2 mile run (2024 USA Triathlon Arkansas State Championship and High School State Championship)
International Triathlon (individual or teams) - 1,000 yard swim, 19 mile bike and a 4 mile run (2024 USA Triathlon Arkansas State Championship)
Aquabike - 1,000 yard swim, 19 mile bike
Sprint Duathlon - 2 mile run, 13 mile bike, 2 mile run

All events will be held at Lake Wedington Recreation Area.

Lake Wedington is located 13 miles west of Fayetteville and is one of the most natural settings for a triathlon in the region. Both spectators and participants can enjoy the natural beauty of the area and combined with unique finisher medals, post-race food, awards and prizes all make this race one not want to miss.

Join us for the 3rd annual Fayetteville Movement Festival held at the highest point in Fayetteville, Mount Sequoyah Center.

The Mission of Fayetteville Movement Festival is to bring together community members making positive changes in the world of dance, yoga, therapy, art, performance art, and improvisation. We hope to bridge communities to share resiliency strategies and to nurture our creativity within. Co-creating the positive changes we wish to see in this world takes curiosity, courage, and connections from all angles. Fayetteville Movement Festival hopes to inspire movements that catalyze these changes.

Classes are composed of a combination of dance, yoga, functional movement, and deep relaxation. Whatever your body needs, we have cultivated a sequence of classes and spaces to keep you feeling refreshed and to feed your mind and spirit too.

*Tickets are eligible for refund on case by case basis.
