Twice a year, Experience Fayetteville awards community investment grants. Many CVB’s refer to them as tourism grants. The purpose of these grants is to strengthen Experience Fayetteville’s efforts to promote the city, increase tourism and enhance the city’s brand.
Projects must take place in the city of Fayetteville and must fit within one of Experience Fayetteville’s focus areas:
- Sports and Recreation
- Performing Arts
- Ozark Heritage
- Culinary Arts
- Visual Arts
Community Investment Grants can and should be used to create and cultivate unique Fayetteville experiences but projects with proven success in other markets will also be strongly considered and are encouraged to apply. Events resulting in overnight stays will be given strong consideration.
Grant applications are reviewed by a committee, led by the Experience Fayetteville Executive Director, and recommended to the Advertising and Promotion Commission for approval. If awarded, sixty (60) percent of funds will be distributed to the organization no later than 1 month prior to the event. The remaining forty (40) percent of funds will be distributed upon receipt of the organization’s post event impact report. Failure to submit an impact report within 30 days of the completion of your event, could cause you to forfeit the remaining funds.
We do not fund the following:
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns
- Multi-year requests
Applications for the Fall 2017 grant will be due October 4th.
Past support of a project does not obligate Experience Fayetteville to continue support for the project in subsequent years. Organizations should not assume or include grant funds as annual support.
